Warden's Lantern beta is open
Two chapters, forty puzzles, no combat, no tutorial. If you want to break things quietly, the door is open.
Beta sign-up is open for Warden's Lantern. Details and the short form are below.
What's in the beta
Chapters one and two (of five), the fog memory system, four tile types, and two keepers' journals. Forty-ish puzzles, none of them timed, none of them optional. No combat. No tutorial — the keeper's first journal doubles as the onboarding.
Expect roughly two hours if you're fast and four if you linger. We hope you linger.
What's not in yet
Sound mix is temporary. The third tile (lens) is in but only used once. Chapters three through five are blocked out but not playable. Steam achievements are not wired up. If you find soft-locks, tell us loudly.
How to join
One email address, one platform preference (Mac / Windows / iOS / Android), and a short note if you have one. We're capping the beta at 300 people for the first wave because we read every bug report and we don't want to lie about that.
Write to desk@maxonice.com with the subject line beta — your platform.
See you in September. Hopefully with launch news.
